Platicamos con Bostich y Fussible sobre cómo pasaron de tener la idea de mezclar música norteña con electrónica, a convertirse en un fenómeno global que toca alrededor del mundo, e incluso se convirtió en el primer acto mexicano de electrónica en ser telonero del festival Vive Latino, el más importante de México.

There aren't that many acts out there that actually live up to the legend status, but Essex boys The Prodigy are one of them. For over twenty years they've been at the forefront of the UK music scene, never far from the top slots of festivals, or the charts. Formed as a reaction to the "nice guy" approach by his former hardcore band Youth of Today, Mike Ferraro created JUDGE to have a darker approach and follow the Oi street punk movement. With lyrics that were profoundly less positive and reflected a more hardline stance, the band's legend and success grew only to be met with escalating violence at gigs and rumors of a so-called "militant" frontman with nefarious ties.

In 1991, at the height of its popularity, the New York hardcore band Judge broke up, leaving a long and storied career of incredible music and hyper-violent gigs for the history books. In the decades that followed, Judge's meager output became hardcore punk 101 for much of the growing scene who built upon their metal-tinged riffs and attitude. While the legend grew, lead singer Mike Ferraro virtually disappeared, only to reemerge in 2013 at Webster Hall to headline one of the most respected hardcore punk festivals in the country, Black N’ Blue Bowl. Noisey caught up with the revered frontman during, before and after his triumphant return to the stage.

In episode eight of Noisey Atlanta, we examine just how quickly the ups and downs can happen in the trap world. In short, the scene moves fast. To start things off, we meet Bankroll Fresh at a barbershop and talk about the rise of his late summer 2014 hit “Hot Boy.” Then we find ourselves in the studio with the elusive Young Thug before linking with Rich Homie Quan, who tells stories of getting out of jail and eventually forming Rich Gang with Birdman and Thugger (fun fact: RHQ and Young Thug apparently went to middle school together). Later, we catch up with Trinidad Jame$ over a year after the explosion of “All Gold Everything,” showing what can possibly happen to a hyped up rapper after the machine spits ‘em out.

Directed by Emmanuel Bonn and Thiery Deknut, Jam Down actually contains some of the only known early footage of The Congos, performing tracks from their classic roots reggae album Heart Of The Congos, which was produced by Lee Perry at the height of their career at the famed Black Ark studios.

Jam Down originally saw a limited release in France back in 1981, and has since resurfaced as one of reggae's most revered lost artifacts—"the holy grail of reggae films," as it's known. We've got it cued up right here for you, though, so sit back and bear witness to some of the most electrifying, raw reggae performances ever captured.

Found Tapes is a weekly show that highlights some of the rarest, wierdest, and sometimes just really cool videos that people send to us. This week, head down to DC to the legendary 9:30 Club to catch a live performance from the prolific (and very charming) Bob Mould.

Here, the iconic Hüsker Dü frontman is backed by drummer Brendan Canty (Fugazi), bassist/vocalist Jason Narducy (Rocket Over Sweden), and keyboards/vocals Richard Morel (Morel). This lineup was in the midst of 2005's Body of Song tour, which marked Mould's first non-solo tour in over a decade, and the first in which Hüsker Dü material was aired by a full band since their own 1988 split.

The quartet breeze through twenty-three songs from Hüsker Dü, Mould's former band Sugar, and his own solo material (including a heart-wrenching renditition of Hüsker Düs ballad "Hardly Getting over It”). Mould's in fine fettle here, his voice as plaintive and powerful as it was back in the Midwestern punk glory days.

Tunji Ige's The Love Project is above all a coming-of-age story, concentrating on Tunji’s life from ages 16 to 19. It’s a meditation on him as a young, black teenager dealing with relationships, rebellion, and the pressure to be cool. "For Us" is the opening song. Tunji says, "'For Us' I feel is a critique on the social climate as well as what someone like me has to battle through, being myself, especially with where I'm at. I'm an up-and-coming artist but still a young black kid who could be a victim to the system. 'For Us' is the conscience to balance this transition: Do you let it get to your head or do you keep pushing?"

Update: On Monday morning (February 16, 2015), Gavin Clark shockingly passed away at the age of 46. A peerless songwriter and poet, Gavin is infamous for his work with Sunhouse and Clayhill, and had collaborated heavily with UNKLE. He is also much loved for his musical collaboration with visual director Shane Meadows on films such as Somers Town and This Is England, plus the recent live re-scoring of Dead Man's Shoes.
